Chapter IV • Story
About Ruffa
Hi, I’m Ruffa, a singer–songwriter and
author from Puerto Princesa, Palawan,
raised with a probinsya heart and city-sized dreams.
I grew up in Quezon, in a place where the nights were quiet but my
thoughts were loud. I learned early that music can say the things we are
too shy, scared, or tired to say out loud. Little by little, every
heartbreak and every small victory turned into lines in my notebook.
Being a single mom changed everything. There were seasons when it was
just me and my daughter, trying to make it through one day at a time —
with bills, doubts, and big dreams all fighting for space. Music and
writing became my way of surviving, not just a hobby. With the help of
friends who believed in me, my first album and Wattpad book,
Mga Liham na ’Di Ko Naipadala, finally came
to life.
Every song and chapter carries pieces of my journey —
Silence,
Borrowed Memories,
No One Has To Know. They are about the love
that stayed too long, the love that left too soon, and the version of
yourself that you meet in between.
I write about love, loss, healing, and that small, stubborn hope that
refuses to die — the one that whispers, “maybe someday it will all make
sense.” My daughter is my why. She is the reason I keep singing, keep
writing, and keep choosing to start again.
If you’ve ever felt forgotten, left behind, or “too much”, I hope you
find a piece of yourself in my work. Even if we’ve never met, I want you
to feel this: you are seen, and you are not alone.
